Outsiders TNR has compiled this list to the best of our knowledge to provide more resources for community members to find assistance for feral cats, also known as community cats. Feral cats are known for their lack of socialization and extreme fear of humans but still need to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated.

Sometimes community cats can be friendly and these are typically cats that may belong to someone, became lost or was abandoned at a cat colony by its owner. You always want to have them scanned for a microchip.

The three most important tips when TNRing cats:

1. ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN BEFORE YOU TRAP THE CAT.

Book the appointment in advance. Most vets cannot do same day surgery. Plan ahead!

2. BE SURE TO COVER THE CAT TRAP WITH A SHEET ONCE THE CAT IS CAUGHT.

This reduces stress and injuries the cat could sustain inside the trap if they are trying to escape in fear.

3. ALWAYS RETURN WHERE THEY WERE TRAPPED.

Cats will run off and die if you relocate them by letting them go in a foreign location. All your hard work would be for nothing. Always Trap-Neuter-RETURN
